Denver Parks and Recreation will open all currently operating recreation centers to the public as cooling centers during regular business hours.Denver Central Library will open at 11 a.m. and extend hours to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Carla Madison Recreation Center will open at 8 a.m. and extend hours until 8 p.m. on both days.

Thanks for supporting our annual Denver Human Services #BeAGiver School Supply Drive! As this year's drive comes to a close, we're excited to begin distributing backpacks to our client-facing teams and caseworkers, who will give them to students and families served by Denver Human Services.
Although this year's donation drive looked a little different, your generosity helped us exceed our goal of collecting 800 backpacks! We'll share the final results at the end of August, once all of the backpacks have been distributed.
Thank you to our donors and volunteers for helping to ensure Denver students have an extra boost of confidence as they head back to school. We couldn't do it without you.
